Hasina Jatoi was born on February 6, 1962, in the prestigious Memon family of Murree, in the house of Muhammad Khan Memon. After completing her primary education in Murree, she shifted her home to Karachi in 1972 and completed her matriculation from NGV School and Intermediate Women’s College, Karachi. He did his graduation from University of Sindh, Jamshoro and Masters in Political Science from Latif University, Khairpur.
Since Hasina Jatoi’s house had an academic and literary environment, she was fond of literature since childhood. She started writing stories and articles in newspapers and magazines since she was a student, as well as participating in literary programs in her educational institutions. Hasina Jatoi also participated in various programs on Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television.
Being a talented person himself, he has been active in Sindh Graduates Association, the largest social organization of Sindh, for a long time in various positions. He always fought for the welfare and welfare of women. In this view, he helped many Sindhi women.
In the year 1984, Azad Jatoi’s life became a storm. What was called Hasina Memon later became Hasina Jatoi. The life of both of them started to fade away. Azad used to call his wife “Momal” from Chaha, under which name he also published the monthly literary magazine “Momal” around 1996. After some time, he started making that magazine a daily “Momul” newspaper. When Momal magazine was released, it became popular as it was different and unique from all other Sindhi magazines. Momal magazine was the favorite magazine of writers, poets, journalists and artists of Sindh. All the credit for its success goes to Hasina and Azad Jatoi

In the year 2008, the monthly Momal magazine was launched as a daily Momal newspaper. Hasina Jatoi along with her colleague Azad Jatoi started working day and night for the success of the newspaper. Within a few months, Daily Momal became the centerpiece of every stall in Sindh. For a year, the newspaper started to spread, but the spirit of the newspaper was freed. After the death of Azad, Hasina Jatoi took over the newspaper published with his passion. Being a single woman, she bravely continues her husband’s mission despite her arrogance and financial problems in the society of men.

Hasina Jatoi always praised the intellectual and literary personalities of Sindh in the magazines and newspapers and welcomed them in a perfect manner. The books of the great writers and poets of Sindh are being published on the platform of Momal. Being a writer herself, she used to welcome new writers and poets through the weekly literary page in the daily Momal newspaper.

Haseena Jatoi has faced many challenges as she has been associated with print media for more than forty years. He has been trying his best to continue the journey of the newspaper. Hasina Jatoi is a member of major journalistic forums of the country, APNS, Editors Club, CPNA.
